Our approach

The value of legal advice lies as much in how clearly it's understood as in how accurate it is. An opinion the client doesn't know how to act on is useless, however technically flawless. That's why we prepare every assessment to answer three questions: what is the situation, what is the risk, and what should you do.

Our second principle is timing. A significant share of disputes arise from a clause overlooked when a contract was signed, or a signature never obtained. Advice that steps in after a problem arises is expensive; advice that steps in before a decision is made is cheap.

Av. Senem Berkem Paflak

Senem Berkem Paflak graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Law in 2004 and has been practicing as a member of the Istanbul Bar Association since 2005. She completed an LL.M. in Economic Law at Galatasaray University and successfully completed the Sabancı University Leadership and Management Certificate Program.

Throughout her career she has held senior in-house counsel roles at national and international companies, providing comprehensive legal advisory across corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), energy law, healthcare law, real estate law, commercial law, labor law and corporate compliance, among other areas.

She has managed the legal affairs of multinational companies and large-scale institutions, provided strategic advice to boards of directors, and taken an active role in corporate governance, risk management, international investments, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, corporate restructuring and dispute resolution. Her experience across different sectors has shaped an advisory approach that anticipates legal risk, supports commercial objectives and delivers sustainable solutions.

She is fluent in both Turkish and English, spoken and written, and provides effective advisory services to domestic and foreign clients across national and international legal matters.

At the firm she founded, Av. Senem Berkem Paflak provides legal advisory and representation to Turkish and foreign individuals and entities across a broad range of areas, including corporate law, commercial law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), investment processes, contract law, energy law, healthcare law, real estate law, labor law, family law, and litigation and enforcement proceedings. Her guiding principle is to provide clients with reliable, solution-oriented, strategic and results-driven legal support.
